Cosculluela Information
Jose Fernando Cosculluela Suarez (October 15, 1980) is a Puerto Rican singer, rapper, and songwriter. Cosculluela, his brother Jaime, and some pals started making illegal mixtapes when he was 16.
After years of working beneath the radar, famous Reggaeton producer Buddha discovered Cosculluela in a San Juan studio. Buddha's current collaborator is the Latin hip-hop producer Echo. When rapper Tempo left Buddha's Family, he replaced him with Cosculluela. After some time, Echo signed Cosculluela to his Invasion Music label.
From the album Buddha's Family 2 released by Machete Music/Universal Latino, the popular single "Te Va Ir Mal" (with Getto), he has propelled Cosculluela to international stardom. Cosculluela soon began collaborating with legendary producers like Gocho and lex Gárgolas on a string of record collections. 2006, he reissued his seminal mixtape "Este Es Mi Momento" with new material.
After this, Cosculluela became a prominent reggaeton artist, featured on a wide variety of albums by some of the genre's most prominent acts, including Los Bandoleros Reloaded, Invasion, Gárgolas, Los Bravos, El Pentágono, El Pentágono: The Return, Los Brother, Talento de Barrio, and many more. Cosculluela's outstanding lyrical abilities as an MC have earned him the nickname "El Principe del Verso" (The Prince of Verse).
