Constantine Maroulis Information
Constantine Maroulis (September 17, 1975) is a Greek American rock singer and actor. He was born in Brooklyn, New York. From the Conservatory to off-Broadway performances and indie films, he did everything. Following his time as a leading man in the international touring company of Rent on Broadway, Maroulis trained as an acting apprentice at the famed Williamstown Theatre Festival in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts.
Roger was a non-equity position for him. He could compete on American Idol despite not having a talent agent at the time. At the urging of his then-girlfriend, Constantine Maroulis set out for Washington, DC, in August 2004 to try out for the fourth season of American Idol. Producers of "American Idol" raised the age limit for singers competing in the show from "16-24" to "16-28" for the 2005 season. Maroulis was one of the first competitors to gain an advantage from the modification, alongside Bo Bice. Also, Maroulis and Bice were pioneers in employing rock idioms during competition.
In the 2000s music round on April 27, 2005, Maroulis sang "How You Remind Me" by Nickelback and was immediately sent home from American Idol. Maroulis's other band, Pray for the Soul of Betty, announced the release of their self-titled debut on their label, Baby Julius, on May 10. This was less than a week before he was eliminated. Maroulis's cover of "My Funny Valentine" may be found on the American Idol Season 4: The Showstoppers album. The judges were impressed by his performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen.
