Bumpin Uglies Information
Bumpin Uglies is an American band founded in 2008. The group was initially established as a trio in Annapolis, Maryland. Its music is defined as ska, punk, and reggae. The band’s current lineup includes Brandon Hardesty – lead vocals, guitar; Dave Wolf – bass, vocals; T.J. Haslett – drums; and Chad Wright – keyboard, vocals, guitar. Bumpin Uglies’ influences include Mustard Plug, Reel Big Fish, Bad Religion, Sublime, and Voodoo Glow Skulls. All of which are said to be pioneering bands of the ska-punk and reggae-drawn mixture.
Free Candy is the first full-length album by Bumpin Uglies, released on June 11, 2011. The album was a substantial debut discography. It was followed by another album entitled Go Folk Yourself, on June 17, 2012. The LP titled Ninjah: Reggae Assassins was a rapid third release by the band on May 28, 2013. “White Boy Reggae” was the first single by the band. The next year, Bumpin Uglies came up with a live album titled Load In/Load Out: Live at 8x10. It was released on April 8, 2014.
Bumpin Uglies began touring and performing in bigger festivals. On October 16, 2015, the band released its EP Sublime With No One that garnered further attention. “Bigger. Faster. Stronger” is the second EP released on June 4, 2016. Some of the other notable albums by Bumpin Uglies are Beast From The East 2018 and Keep Your Suitcase Packed 2020. Buzz (EP), Songs From the Basement (Acoustic EP), and Live @ Sugarshack Sessions are some other discographies.
