Blind Pilot Information
Blind Pilot is an American indie folk band. The group's current lineup consists of Dave Jorgensen, Ian Krist, Kati Claborn, Luke Ydstie, Ryan Dobrowski, and Israel Nebeker. Blind Pilot's first studio album, "3 Rounds and a Sound," was released by Expunged Records on July 15, 2008. On July 7, 2008, iTunes named "Go On, Say It" as their Single of the Week, and by July 26, the album had climbed to number 13 on the Billboard Top Digital Albums chart.
In February 2009, the band expanded to include four touring and original members, Israel Nebeker and Ryan Dobrowski. The live EP was released exclusively on iTunes on December 29 of that year. The EP included a cover of "Look at Miss Ohio" by Gillian Welch. The EP featured new material and reworked versions of previously released tracks. Tucker Martine engineered and engineered the EP.
On September 13, 2011, as a sextet, Blind Pilot unveiled their second album, We Are The Tide. The previous EP's single "Get It Out" was included on the album. Adding new members, according to Allmusic, "add bigger, brighter colors to the mix." The site awarded the group 4.5 stars overall. And Then Like Lions, Blind Pilot's third studio album, was announced for release on ATO Records on August 12, 2016 (the album's original release date was June 1). According to Metacritic, the album has been met with "universal acclaim," which gave it a 71 out of 100 score.
