Bill Nershi Information
Bill "Hershey" Nershi (September 16, 1961) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter from New Jersey, residing in Colorado. His music is classified as bluegrass, country, and rock. He is a founding member of the famous ensemble, The String Cheese Incident, which originated from Boulder, Colorado. The String Cheese Incident took a break at the beginning of 2007 but later reunited in 2009.
Bill Nershi is currently active in a variety of projects. These big projects include The String Cheese Incident, Honkytonk Homeslice, and the Emmitt-Nershi Band with Drew Emmitt, a well-known mandolinist in the band Leftover Salmon.
Apart from being a musician and songwriter, Bill Nershi is also a visual artist. He was a soundtrack writer for the film, Around the Fire, in which he wrote the song "Rhythm of the Road" in 1998. Another credit for songwriting goes to the film Stepmom. He worked on a video documentary entitled Waiting for the Snow to Fall and The String Cheese Incident in 2003. In 2012, Nershi appeared in a TV special named Warren Haynes Presents Christmas Jam 24.
