Armor for Sleep Information
Armor for Sleep is an American rock band that originated from New Jersey in 2001. The group was founded by Ben Jorgensen and played pop-punk, emo, post-hardcore, indie rock, and dream-pop music genres. After several changes in the band’s lineup, the final current members are lead guitarist PJ DeCicco, bassist Anthony DiIonno, lead vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Ben Jorgensen, and drummer Nash Breen. The band was initially signed to Equal Vision Records via which they released the first two albums entitled Dream to Make Believe 2003 and What to Do When You Are Dead 2005.
In 2006, Armor of Sleep signed to Warner Brothers/Sire Records and released a Machine Shop remix of their track "Remember to Feel Real." It was featured on the Snakes on a Plane soundtrack. The song was followed up by a new track entitled "End of the World" which was for the film Transformers 2007. The third full-length album by the group was Smile for Them on October 30, 2007. An EP was also announced by the group on August 20, 2008, named The Way Out Is Broken.
Some of the other notable discographies by Armor of Sleep are Radio singles, including "Dream to Make Belief," "My Town," "Car Underwater," "The Truth About Heaven," "Remember to Feel Real," "Williamsburg," and a few more. Three of the DVDs released by the band are Homesick: DVD Compilation, Vol. 2004, What to Do When You Are Dead Bonus DVD 2005, and A Comprehensive Guide To Touring 2005.
It was announced on October 28, 2009, that Armor for Sleep would be parting ways, but the band reunited to play the 2012 Bamboozle Festival, which was held in New Jersey.
