Whitney Peyton is an American rapper. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Peyton admired local performers like Will Smith, Eve, and P!nk, who had achieved success. After watching music videos including Missy Elliott, Eminem, and No Doubt, Peyton started writing poems and was inspired to pursue a career in music. She signed with Tragic Hero Records as the first solo hip-hop artist in 2017.
Peyton took part in the "Rugged and Raw Tour," a 40-date U.S. tour from October to December 2013, alongside R.A. the Rugged Man and Potluck, following several one-off national performances at the beginning of her career. Peyton joined the remaining members of the platinum-selling rap group Three 6 Mafia on their "Triple 6 Sinners Tour" in 2014.
Peyton and her buddy Gina Fritz founded Keyed Up on January 25, 2019. Peyton signed with Suburban Noize Records on November 1, 2019, and the label announced that Alpha, her fourth studio album, would be released on January 24, 2020. On October 16, 2020, Keyed Up released their debut album, Left on Read... It was later revealed on May 28, 2021, that Peyton had quit Suburban Noize to start her label, Alpha Howse, which was sold via ONErpm.
