Alexander Leon Gumuchian (June 30, 1995) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and rapper who is professionally known by his stage name, bbno$. He is well-known for his collaboration with rapper Yung Gravy and his 2019 single entitled “Lalala.” The single has reached more than 700 million plays on Spotify. Gumuchian was born in Vancouver. He was home-schooled before he started high school. He was encouraged by his mother to learn piano, but he struggled with music theory.
Gumuchian wanted to pursue his dream as a professional swimmer, but that dream broke due to his back injury. This was when he started working on his music skills. Gumuchian began taking an interest in rapping as well as music production during 2014. He started making music for enjoyment initially with his group friends. In September 2016, Gumuchian started posting tracks on SoundCloud under the moniker of “bbnomula.” He quickly gained millions of followers and streams on the platform.
Gumuchian released his debut EP entitled Baby Gravy in 2017. It was a collaboration EP with Yung Gravy. On July 12, 2018, he released his debut studio album entitled Bb Steps. Other studio albums include Recess (January 25, 2019), I Don’t Care at All (November 7, 2019), Baby Gravy 2 (February 14, 2020), Good Luck Have Fun (October 9, 2020), and Eat Ya Veggies (October 8, 2021).
Notable singles released by Gumuchian are “Money Conversation,” “Thankful,” “Pouch,” “Cheesy,” “Lalala,” “Bad Boy,” “Shining on My Ex,” “Welcome to Chilis,” and “Off the Goop.”
