Wargasm Information
Wargasm is a British electronic duo. The lineup consists of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way. Way, a concert photographer, had previously photographed Matlock in his band Dead! This was how they first crossed paths. Following the 2018 breakup of Dead!, Matlock approached Way, who was modeling in Tokyo at the time. As a result, a band called Wargasm—named after a L7 song of the same name—came into existence.
The two started creating pop-punk songs, but they had moved on to other styles by the time their debut single, "Post Modern Rhapsody," was out on August 22, 2019. The single "Gold Gold Gold" was released on February 20, 2020. They covered N.E.R.D.'s "Lapdance" the next day and put it out. The song "Spit" was released as a single on June 5. Their song "God of War" was chosen as the NXT UK theme on September 3.
Wargasm revealed their support for Neck Deep's upcoming 2022 U.K. tour on January 7, 2022. Wargasm announced on March 16, 2022, that they would be opening for Limp Bizkit on their "Still Sucks" tour across North America. Wargasm's signing to slowplay and Republic Records and forthcoming full-length CD, Explicit: The Mixxxtape, were revealed by band members Matlock and Way on May 6, 2022.
