Vince Neil Information
Vincent Neil Wharton (February 8, 1961) is an American musician from Hollywood, California. His family moved around Southern California from Inglewood to Watts during the 1960s, finally settling in Glendora. Neil attended Sunflower Intermediate School and later went to Royal Oak High School. He acquired an interest in music as a teenager and was interested in surfing, baseball, basketball, wrestling, and football.
Neil stepped into the music industry in 1981 while performing with his band Rock Candy. He later joined Mötley Crüe and made his debut with the band’s debut album entitled Too Fast for Love in 1981. The band’s next album, Shout at the Devil, followed, which brought international stardom to Mötley Crüe. Soon the band and Neil parted ways, and he pursued a solo career.
Neil released his first solo album in 1993, entitled Exposed, which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard charts. Carved in Stone was another album released by Neil in September 1993, followed by Tattoos & Tequila, released on June 22, 2010.
Some of his solo hit singles include “Skylar’s Song,” “The Crawl,” “Promise Me,” and “Tattoos and Tequila." Vince Neil Ink is a tattoo parlor owned by Neil that was opened in 2006. He also founded Vince Vineyards, a winemaking venture that produced a 2003 Sonoma County Chardonnay and a 2003 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.
