Unleash The Archers Information
Unleash the Archers is a Canadian metal band formed in 2007. The current lineup of the group consists of Nick Miller (bass), Andrew Kingsley (guitars and clean vocals), Grant Truesdell (guitars and unclean vocals), Scott Buchanan (drums), and Brittney Hayes (clean vocals). The band signed a record deal with Napalm Records. Their musical style incorporates a fusion of traditional melodic death metal and heavy metal with power metal.
In August 2009, Unleash the Archers released its debut studio album entitled, Behold the Devastation. The album was recorded at Omega Mediacore Studios in Richmond, British Columbia, and Jason Hywell Martin. Their second album, Demons Of The AstroWaste, was recorded with Stu McKillop and Nick Engwer at the Hive Soundlab in Burnaby, British Columbia. The album was released independently in May 2011.
Other studio albums released by Unleashed the Archers include Time Stands Still (2015), Apex (June 2, 2017), and Abyss (August 21, 2020). In 2009, the band was voted number 6 in Exclaim Magazine’s Readers Choice Awards for Best Metal Album. The band was also voted for the Best Metal Band at the Whammy Awards in 2015 in Vancouver. Unleash the Archers won the Juno Awards in 2021 for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year.
