The Movielife Information
The Movielife is a punk rock band that was initially founded in 1997, in Long Island, New York. The founding members were bassist Nick Ghanbarian, vocalist Vinnie Caruana, guitarists Alex Amiruddin and Eddie Reyes, and drummer Evan Baken. The current members playing in The Movielife are Vinnie Caruana – lead vocals; Brandon Reilly – guitar; and Brett Romnes – drums. Two touring members are Matt Fazzi - bass guitar, vocals, Chris Regan - guitar, vocals. The Movielife disbanded in 2003 for a time, but in December 2014, they announced their reunion. The music of the group is defined as Melodic hardcore, pop-punk, and emo.
After the creation of The Movielife, the founding members recorded a tape titled Red Demo with Mike Sapone. Another demo tape was recorded by the band in 1998, entitled White Demo, which caught the attention of Fadeaway Records. The group signed a contract with the label and released its debut album with Peng Chia at Tin Pan Alley Studios. The album was entitled It's Go Time and was released in September 1999.
The band also worked with Rise Records, Drive-Thru Records, and a few more. Some of the notable studio albums by the band are This Time Next Year (2000), Forty Hour Train Back to Penn (2003), and Cities in Search of a Heart (2017).
The Movielife has performed at The Bamboozle festival, Today's Mixtape Festival, and several other festivals.
