The Iron Maidens - Iron Maiden Tribute Information
The Iron Maidens are a heavy metal band that was founded in 2001 by vocalist Jenny Warren and bassist Melanie Sisneros. The band was formerly known as the Iron Maiden tribute band Wrathchild. The tribute band is from Los Angeles, California, and it is an all-female tribute act to an English heavy metal band, Iron Maiden. The current lineup of the band is bassist Wanda Ortiz, drummer Linda McDonald, vocalist Kirsten Rosenberg, guitarist Courtney Cox, and guitarist Nikki Stringfield.
The Iron Maiden Tribute began working on their debut album in 2003, but the project got delayed due to lineup changes of the band. Later on, it was released in June 2005 as World's Only Female Tribute to Iron Maiden. It was followed by the second album by the tribute act named Route 666 in February 2007. The album featured a guest appearance by Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell. In January 2010, The Iron Maidens went on a Japanese tour. In August 2010, the group released a DVD of their tour entitled Metal Gathering Tour Live in Japan 2010.
Nita Strauss (Ibanez), Courtney Cox (Caparison), and Nikki Stringfield (Schecter) are the first female artists who had their signature guitar with their associated guitar companies. As contestants, Rosenberg and Stringfield appeared on an episode of the Beat Shazam in 2017, which is a music game show.
