The Freddy Jones Band Information
The Freddy Jones Band is a roots-rock band that was founded in 1990 in Chicago, Illinois. The founding members of the group were Wayne Healy, Marty Lloyd, and Jim Bonaccorsi; they all attended Holy Cross College. The current lineup of the group includes Marty Lloyd as lead vocals, guitar; Rich Ross on bass, backing vocals; Stu Miller on lead guitar, backing vocals; and Greg "Goose" Lapoint on the drums. There is a long list of former members among which, some of the notable ones are Al Zorn – keyboards; Matthew Moon – guitar, lap steel, vocals; Rob Bonaccorsi – vocals, guitar, and a few more. The music of The Freddy Jones Band is defined as blues rock and roots rock.
The Freddy Jones Band released its self-titled debut album independently but, later on, it was re-released by Capricorn Records. The debut album was followed by Waiting for the Night (1993), Wake-Up Call (1995), and Lucid (1997). "In A Daydream" was a single by the band that peaked at number 27 on the Mainstream Rock Chart (September 1994). Some of the other notable studio albums by the group are High Spirits 2006, Time Well Wasted 2009, The Freddy Jones Band 2011, and Never Change 2015.
The Freddy Jones Band has worked with a few record labels throughout its career, including Sony Special Products, Dustimmoff Music Partnership, Volcano, PolyGram, and Capricorn.
