Tank Information
Tank, whose stage name is TANK, is an English heavy metal band that Algy Ward (formerly of The Damned) established in 1980. The original band members were prominent figures in the '90s British heavy metal scene. Like Motörhead, Tank was a trio led by a vocal bassist performing a punk-influenced metal sound with colorful lyrics.
Ward announced in January 2016 that development on Sturmpanzer was concluded and that the game would launch in the new year. But then it was postponed, and it was ultimately published in November 2018. Venom Inc.'s withdrawal due to health concerns resulted in the Tucker-Evans Tank setting off on its maiden Australian tour in June 2019, sharing the stage with Girlschool and Raven.
This was the first time Tank had ever visited the nation. Algy Ward led one version of the band until his death on March 17, 2023, following a series of contentious legal and artistic disagreements. Meanwhile, guitarists Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans continued to lead another version of the band after Ward's passing.
