Supersuckers Information
The Supersuckers are an American rock band that originated from Tucson, Arizona. The group was founded in 1988 as The Black Supersuckers, who played traditional punk rock. The original lineup of the band was a group of high school friends. However, the current lineup of The Supersuckers consists of Eddie Spaghetti – bass, "Metal" Marty Chandler – guitar, backing vocals, and Christopher "Chango" von Streicher – drums. The music of the band ranges from alternative rock to country rock.
The Supersuckers recorded many singles and covers for small labels before being signed to Sub Pop in their early years. The early recordings by the band are all compiled on The Songs All Sound the Same 1992. Some of their initial studio albums are The Smoke of Hell (1992), La Mano Cornuda (1994), The Sacrilicious Sounds of the Supersuckers (1995), and Must've Been High (1997). How the Supersuckers Became the Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World was the 1999 album released via Sub-Pop.
The Supersuckers sign a major-label deal with Interscope. The later albums by the band include The Evil Powers of Rock 'N' Roll (1999), Motherfuckers Be Trippin' (2003), Paid (2006), Get It Together (2008), Get the Hell (2014), Holdin' the Bag (2015), Suck It (2018), and Play That Rock N' Roll (2020). The group also released two split discographies entitled "Supersuckers" / "Steve Earle" (1997) and Splitsville 1 (2002). A few of the live albums by The Supersuckers are Must've Been Live (2002), Live at the Tractor Tavern (2004), and Live at Bart's CD Cellar & Record Shop (2006).
