Stokley Williams Information
Stokley Williams (July 15, 1967) is an American percussionist, record producer, and singer. Williams is Mint Condition's frontman and plays drums in the studio. His first Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance came in 2011 for his appearance on Kelly Price's song "Not My Daddy" from her album Kelly.
As a tribute to Prince, Williams joined The Revolution on tour in 2017. Williams also made his producing breakthrough in 2017 with his Bluraffe/Concord Records solo debut Introducing Stokley, which featured work from Williams and the Philadelphia duo Carvin & Ivan. Sankofa, Jam & Lewis' second solo album, was released in 2019 as a collaboration with Bluraffe ent /Perspective Records.
It wasn't until March of 2020 that Stokley had his first solo number one with "She...", which spent two weeks at the top of the Adult R&B Chart (Billboard). When asked who influenced him the most, Williams named Cliff Alexis Sr., Prince, and Maurice White.
