Stephane Wrembel Information
Stéphane Wrembel (February 27, 1974) is a French jazz guitarist from Paris. Wrembel studied classical piano in Fontainebleau, France, at the age of four. He won prizes in the Lucien Wurmser competition that took place at the National Conservatory of Aubervilliers. He took up the guitar at the age of sixteen to learn the songs of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and the like.
Wrembel attended the American School of Modern Music in Paris and attended the Django Reinhardt Festival in Samois, where he studied composition arranging, contemporary classical music, and jazz. Wrembel won a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music after his graduation.
"Big Brother" was a hit song by Wrembel that appeared on the soundtrack for the film Vicky Cristina Barcelona by Woody Allen. He again collaborated with Allen, composing "Bistro Fada" in 2011, which was the theme song for the film Midnight in Paris, by Allen.
