Spose Information
Ryan Michael Peters (July 1, 1985) is an American rapper. He is professionally known as Spose. He was born in Portland, Maine, and grew up in Wells, Maine. He began rapping in eighth grade, but it was not until he graduated from Wells High School in 2004 that he decided to pursue it. As a kid, he formed The Frothy Four, a rock band. Peters was an English major at the University of New Hampshire and later went to Suffolk University; however, he got a record deal while being two classes away from graduation and did not complete his degree.
In 2007, he self-released his first album entitled Preposterously Dank, under the stage name Spose. He kept working at Barnacle Billy's restaurant in Ogunquit, serving lobster. In 2009, Spose collaborated with rapper Cam Groves on the We Smoked It All mixtape. Maine radio stations played his tune "I'm Awesome" (from his We Smoked It All mixtape) in January 2010. Spose got a record deal with Universal Republic Records in February 2010, when the song gained popularity in other parts of the US. He stated that he would begin working on a music video.
Why Am I So Happy, Spose's fourth studio album, was released in 2015. On April 4, 2017, he published his fifth album, Good Luck With Your Life, which included an extra song, "I Wanna Keep It," that was only available in the mobile game The King Of Maine.
