Simone Dinnerstein Information
Simone Dinnerstein (September 18, 1972) is an American classical pianist from New York. She went to the Manhattan School of Music and studied the pre-college program with Solomon Mikowsky. Dinnerstein auditioned in London with Maria Curcio when she was only 15. At 18, she dropped out of The Juilliard School of Music and decided to study in London.
Simone Dinnerstein’s initial career was a massive success after the release of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Goldberg Variations. She has arranged many notable solo recitals of works for J. S. Bach, Beethoven, and a few more. She appeared as a featured guest artist at the great Bard Music Festival. She was often seen as a chamber musician in contemporary music performances, including significant works by Ned Rorem and Yehudi Wyner.
Dinnerstein has exclusively toured as a piano soloist with Czech Philharmonic as well as Dresden Philharmonic. She has also presented with the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, New York City’s Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, and the Absolute Ensemble.
Simone Dinnerstein signed with Sony Classical in 2010, and the next year, she released her first album entitled Bach: A Strange Beauty. This recording made its debut at number one on the Billboard Traditional Classical Chart and became the top-selling album on Barnesandnoble.com. Dinnerstein has also been featured on CBS Sunday Morning.
Something Almost Being Said: Music of Bach and Schubert is the second album by Simone Dinnerstein, released in 2012. Some of her other notable albums are Night 2013, Bach Re-Invented, and Broadway-Lafayette 2015.
