Show Me the Body Information
Show Me the Body is an American hardcore punk band. The group's current lineup consists of Jackie McDermott, Harlan Steed, and Julian Cashwan Pratt. In the ninth grade at Elisabeth Irwin High School, Julian Pratt met Harlan Steed, who inspired him to create the initial iteration of Show Me the Body. As a volunteer at ABC No Rio, a communal space in the Lower East Side that performs lunchtime punk shows on Saturdays, Julian grew further immersed in the New York hardcore music scene.
Letter Racer was an indie rock band founded in 2014 by members of the band Ratking while they were still in high school. In July of that year, they self-released their debut EP, Yellow Kidney, on SoundCloud. In April 2015, after being noticed by record company Loma Vista, they released an EP under their name. By then, Noah Cohen-Corbett had joined the group as a drum player.
The band stopped by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum in Poland. Their third album, Dog Whistle, was released on March 29, 2019, and was inspired by their travels. The album's songs were composed in Long Island City, New York, and then recorded in Los Angeles, California, the summer before.
