Shipwreck is a band from Champaign, Illinois, with a record deal with None Records, an imprint spun off from Polyvinyl Records. The Boston hard rock band Shipwreck A.D. used to go by the moniker Shipwreck until 2007 when they changed it to include their initials to avoid confusion. The Boston band is responsible for at least one of the albums listed below, titled Shipwreck ad.
The Illinois band Shipwreck has released two full-length albums, titled Rabbit in the Kitchen with a New Dress On (2007) and Origin (2005), as well as three extended plays, titled Walk in the Woods (2006), House of Cards (2006), and Six Buttery Mega Hits. The members are Vladimir Brilliant, Harman Jordan, John Owen, and Chris Waage.
The trademark for the term Shipwreck belongs to the band from Illinois, and the two bands came to an amicable resolution of the legal matter by having the Boston band add the A.D. to their name.
