Shattered Sun Information
Shattered Sun is an American metalcore band based in Alice, Texas, and formed in July 2005. The current lineup of the band includes Marcos Leal (lead vocals), Joseph Guajardo (bass), Henry Garza (keyboards and backing vocals), Jessie Santos (lead guitar and backing vocals), Sebastian Elizondo (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), and Juan “PB” Hinojosa (drums). Sebastian Ortiz and Daniel Trejo formed shattered Sun while the other members kept coming to the band.
Shattered Sun released its first extended play in December 2006 entitled “The Lost Cause.” In August 2009, the band went on recording “Endless Struggle” with Ken Susi. Later that year, the group recorded another extended play entitled “Through Ashes.” The band began working on its debut album named “Hope Within Hatred” in late 2013. Some of the group’s significant singles are “Hope Within Hatred” (2015) that reached number 35 on the US Mainstream Rock Songs, “Shades of Melodie” (2019), and “Until It Breaks” (2020).
On February 5, 2015, the band members signed a record deal with Victory Records. However, Shattered Sun signed a record deal with Hammerforged Records in March 2020. Shattered Sun released its second studio album entitled “The Evolution of Anger” in 2017, followed by “Bled For You” in 2020. Some former artists who have been members of Shattered Sun are David Hass, Robert Garza, Daniel Trejo, Hector Villareal, Rudy Leal, Steven Garcia, Clem Galindo, Nick Garcia, Steven King, and Sebastian Ortiz.
