Shaggy Information
Orville Richard Burrell CD (October 22, 1968), best known by his stage name as Shaggy, is a Jamaican-American reggae music artist whose singles include "It Wasn't Me," "Boombastic," "Oh Carolina," and "Angel." In addition to his seven Grammy nominations, he won the Brit Award for International Male Solo Artist in 2002 and two Best Reggae Albums.
The Jamaican Order of Distinction gave him the title of Commander in 2007. After Shaggy, Spice, and Sean Paul's June 18, 2021, live performance, Wendy Williams interviewed all three. Shaggy, Spice, and Sean Paul performed "Go Down Deh" on Pix 11I New York during Caribbean Heritage Month 2021.
Good Morning Britain, airing on ITV1, interviewed Shaggy, Spice, and Sean Paul live on July 1, 2021, International Reggae Day. Shaggy competed as part of Team Cuddly's "Space Bunny" in season seven of The Masked Singer in 2022. He and En Vogue were eliminated as a member of Team Bad's "Queen Cobras" duo. Brown University bestowed a Doctor of Fine Arts honoris causa upon Shaggy on May 28, 2022.
