Sal’s Greenhouse is an American powerhouse funk band. The group is led by Sally Green (vocalist and baritone saxophonist) from Oakland, California. The current lineup consists of Hassan Hurd (drummer), Chris Brown (trumpeter), Olivia Ruff (singer), Craig Schneider (keyboardist), Erico Cisneros (bassist), and Cam Perridge (guitarist). The band’s vibe is fundamentally funk-driven and incorporates R&B, rock, and soul to create such a unique sound on their own. The band released its debut extended play entitled, The Constant in 2016.
Sal’s Greenhouse has supported several notable artists such as Dumpstaphunk, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Orgone, and Nikka Costa. In March 2020, the group released an extended play album entitled Bloom. It was produced by Justin Stanley and recorded in North Hollywood.
Sal’s Greenhouse has stacked with some of the best Bay Area talent. The group’s chemistry and energy are a formula for the original dance music that most audiences haven’t experienced yet.
