Ramble Jon Krohn (May 27, 1976) is better known by his stage name RJD2. He is an American musician based in Columbus, Ohio. RJD2 was born in Eugene, Oregon. He began making music in 1993. The music by RJD2 is defined as hip-hop and indie rock. He is a producer, DJ, and singer-songwriter by profession.
In 2002, RJD2 signed to a record label Definitive Jux by El-P. He released his debut solo album entitled Deadringer. He later collaborated with Blueprint (rapper) under the name “Soul Position.” As a result of this collaboration, 8 Million Stories was released on Rhymesayers Entertainment (2003). The second solo album by Ramble Jon Krohn was released in 2004, entitled Since We Last Spoke. Soul Position's second album followed it; Things Go Better with RJ and AL, which was released in 2006. In this same year, Magnificent City was also released, a collaboration of RJD2 with rapper Aceyalone.
Some of the other notable discographies by RJD2 include The Third Hand (2007), The Colossus (2010), We Are the Doorways (2011), The Abandoned Lullaby (2011), More Is Than Isn't (2013), STS x RJD2 (2015), Dame Fortune (2016), Tendrils (2018), and The Fun Ones (2020). A few of his mix albums are Your Face or Your Kneecaps (2001), Loose Ends (2003), Lobster and Scrimp (2003), and Constant Elevation (2005). His five EPs include Pryor Convictions (2000), Pryor Convictions (2000), The Glow Remixes (2011), and a few more.
Ramble Jon Krohn also appeared as a guest in the track ``The Last Sunshine" from And the Summertime Pool Party by Pigeon John and "Toynbee Suite" from Ritualize by Lushlife + CSLSX.
