Rivers of Nihil Information
Rivers of Nihil is an American band. The current lineup consists of Jared Klein (backing vocals and drums), Adam Biggs (lead vocals and bass), and Brody Uttley (lead guitar, programming, and keyboards). It wasn't until 2009 that the ensemble Rivers of Nihil formed. Later that year, they got in the studio with Century vocalist Carson Slovak to record their début EP, Hierarchy. Slovak has also worked with August Burns Red, Texas in July, and Black Crown Initiate, among many others, as a producer.
Throughout that period, the band opened for groups like Decapitated, Decrepit Birth, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, and Misery Index. In 2011, the band worked with producer Len Carmichael to make their second Temporality Unbound EP. Music video production began on "(sin)Chronos," one of the album's tracks. MetalSucks called them the "greatest new Death metal band you'll hear this year" upon the publication of Rivers of Nihil in February 2012.
A demo version of "Rain Eater" was released by Metal Blade Records on December 11, 2012, and the label's signing of Rivers of Nihil was revealed the following day. Mana Recording Studios in Tampa, Florida, would be the site of the band's first studio recording, which Erik Rutan of Hate Eternal and Morbid Angel would produce.
