Righteous Brothers Information
The Righteous Brothers are a musical duo consisting of Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley originating from Orange County, California, in 1962. The two members began performing as a part of a five-member group called the Paramours, but later changed the name to "The Righteous Brothers." The music of the duo can be classified as pop and soul.
The Righteous Brothers released three albums initially on Moonglow label. They were followed by a compilation album and 12 singles with Moonglow. Only two of the singles faced moderate success, "Little Latin Lupe Lu" and "My Babe." The singles were included in their first album, Right Now!
The Righteous Brothers opened for The Beatles in their first U.S. tour in 1964. Later, they were asked to appear on a new television show called "Shindig!" The next album by the duo was Some Blue-Eyed Soul. Later in 1964, the pair opened for The Rolling Stones on their American tour.
Some of the other notable albums by The Righteous Brothers are You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin, Just Once in My Life..., Back to Back, Soul & Inspiration, Go Ahead and Cry, Give It to the People, and The Righteous Brothers. The duo also released some compilation albums such as The Righteous Brothers Greatest Hits November 30, 1967, Greatest Hits Vol. 2, and Unchained Melody – Best Of The Righteous Brothers.
