Ray Boudreaux Information
Ray Boudreaux is an American soul singer best known for being one of the top 8 contestants in Season 5 of NBC’s The Voice. Before that, he was running a lawn care service. Since his childhood, Ray had never strayed far away from his home. However, he left small-town Lafayette, Louisiana, stepped out of his hometown for the first time for his passion, music, and went straight to Los Angeles for an audition.
Boudreaux gathered courage for the blind audition and sang “Use Me” by Bill Withers. Black Shelton and CeeLo Green turned their chairs around, but Boudreaux picked Shelton to be his coach.
During the Battle rounds, Ray went against Monika Leigh singing “Some Kind of Wonderful” and eventually won. In the knockout rounds, he sang “Hard to Handle” and won against E.G. Daily, which allowed him to advance towards the Live shows, becoming a fan favorite.
