Pianopalooza Information
Pianopalooza is a dueling piano show that features Jerry Lorenson and Tony Bohnenkamp. The pair are star-crossed dueling piano partners. When Lorenson turned 15, he was in the front row for The Smashing Pumpkins when Billy Corgan (lead singer) spit on him. From this concert, he emerged anew. These were some of the early age encounters which made Lorenson and Bohnenkamp collide with rock & roll royalty. They finally united when Lorenson moved to Des Moines and Bohnenkamp, who offered him the spare room.
According to many, Pianopalooza makes them feel like they are listening and watching The Rolling Stones and the Beatles. Pianopalooza is now said to be Iowa's longest-running dueling piano show.
