Pablo Cruise is a pop/rock band that was founded in San Francisco, in 1973, by the former members of Stoneground. Larios was the founding member of the band who created the group while attending Palo Alto High School. The current lineup of the band is Cory Lerios (keyboards and vocals), David Jenkins (guitar and vocals), Steve Price (drums), Robbie Wyckoff (percussion, vocals), and Larry Antonino (bass and vocals). The music of the band is defined as pop-rock, blue-eyed, soft rock, and soul.
The first album, self-titled, by Pablo Cruise was released in August 1975, which was a minor success. It was followed by the second album entitled Lifeline in April 1976. "Zero to Sixty in Five" was a track included in their second album, which was used as the theme music for various sporting television shows. Eventually, in 1977, the band faced a turning point in its career by the release of 1977's A Place in the Sun. With this album, Pablo Cruise was able to enter the mainstream music scene with hit singles "Whatcha Gonna Do?" reaching number 6 and the title track "A Place in the Sun" at number 42.
A few of the notable discographies by Pablo Cruise are Worlds Away, Part of the Game, Reflector, and Out of Our Hands. The two of the compilation albums by the band are Classics Volume 26 in 1988 and The Best of Pablo Cruise in 2001. It's Good to Be Live was the only live album to date by the band in 2011.
