Night Ranger Information
Night Ranger is a San Francisco-based American hard rock band, formed in 1979. It had a successful run of albums and songs in the '80s. The only band members who have been consistent throughout the years are guitarist Brad Gillis and drummer Kelly Keagy. Bassist Jack Blades has appeared on all but one of the band's albums. Keri Kelli (guitar) and Eric Levy (keyboards) are two more current band members.
The band's albums have sold seventeen million copies, with the first five selling over ten million. The power ballad "Sister Christian"—among the quintet's many top 40 hits in the '80s—peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1984.
Following a decline in popularity in the late '80s, the band disbanded in 1989, and its members went on to play in various bands and solo projects. The third Tables 4 and 5 In 1995, Brad Gillis, Kelly Keagy, and bassist Gary Moon formed a new band; however, the band's original members quickly regrouped, and by the end of the decade, they had recorded two albums together.
The band's new song, "Somehow Someway," off their 2017 album Don't Let Up, was released on January 13, 2017. Frontiers Music SRL published the album on March 24, 2017. The band also served as producers for the album's eleven tracks. With Keri Kelli on guitar for the first time, the band released a studio album.
After announcing their August 2021 album ATBPO, Night Ranger took the stage on May 24, 2021.
