Mesonjixx Information
Mary, aka Mesonjixx, 's music, poems, and performance ethic are based on her experiences as a black queer woman, a subtle, complicated pattern of light linked by a thread of unconscious ideas of agony, pleasure, and unyielding ecstasy. Earth is perpetually damp and supple—an ever-developing scientific probe. Although music, songwriting, and performance are her main focus, she is also an enthusiastic organizer, curator, collaborator, and up-and-coming poet and writer.
After making her debut in 2015, Mesonjixx has quickly ascended to the top of musicians in the Midwest and become a mainstay of the Nebraska music industry. Mesonjixx features some of the best musicians in Nebraska, both individually and together.
A crowd favorite at the True/False Independent Film Festival in Columbia, Missouri, her trio of keyboardist and producer Nate Asad (f.k.a. INFNTLP) and percussionist John Evans was chosen to perform before Kamasi Washington at his upcoming Omaha show in 2020. Mesonjixx's November 2021 live album was recorded at Culxr House in Omaha. Kekeli Dawes, Nate Asad, Myles Jasnowski, and Jacob Sorensen are the musicians who are featured here.
