Mark Allen Felton, alias Panther, was a saxophonist from Chicago who took inspiration from various genres, including funk, jazz, and gospel. He began his creative career at 11 after being influenced by Grover Washington Jr., Earth Wind & Fire, Sonny Stitt, and Kool & the Gang.
Felton already had a scholarship and won several musical honors at Texas Southern University in Houston when he graduated from high school. This phenomenally talented performer has shared the stage with such smooth jazz and R&B luminaries as Al Jarreau, Patti Labelle, Gerald Albright, Bobby Womack, Billy Preston, Janelle Monae, and many more!
Mark Allen Felton is a very productive composer; among his many works are the theme songs for the radio program "Radioscope" and the comedy special of Michael Colyar. His works have been featured in feature-length and short films, and his five CDs have been widely distributed.
