Mahan The Band is an American blues-rock band that originated from Kansas. The group is known for playing classic rock and blues along with original funk jam sessions. The current lineup consists of three friends that are Howard Mahan (from Lawrence, KS), Landon “Captain” Livingston (from Mahaska, KS), and Tim King (Salina, KS).
The style of Mahan The Band is defined as “Roadhouse Rockin’ Blues.” Their stylistic influences range from B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, T-Bone Walker, and Miles Davis to Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, and The Winery Dogs. The group also performs stunning acoustic shows. The member's live show performance typically depends on the venue or event. To make their music sound fresh and pleasant, all three members put everything they have into it.
Landon is defined as the powerhouse drummer of the band. He knows how to bring the fire of rock and metal together. Mahan is a pro guitarist holding a diverse background. King is as driven as any bass player can be. He has been inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame for his amazing skills. The band released an all-original EP entitled First Time Around on March 22, 2019. It is defined as a mix of blues, jazz, rock, and funk. Some hit tracks included in the EP are Let’s Go (ft. Landon Livingston), Rather Be Blind (ft. Tim King), and Someday.
