Lockeland Strings Information
Lockeland Strings is an arts organization that presents monthly showcases of local artists accompanied by a string quintet and performances of new contemporary classical pieces from local composers. Lockeland Strings started as a home show but has since expanded to the Parthenon and Wilburn Street Studios, where artists as diverse as Kacey Musgraves and Lucie Silvas have performed. Every month it collaborates with a different charity to raise awareness for their work. Previous beneficiaries have included the ACLU of Tennessee, Girls Write Nashville, The Little Pantry That Could, and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
They've collaborated with artists like Fancy, Caroline Spence, Kacey Musgraves, Lera Lynn, Kyshona Armstrong, Daniel Tashian, Joe Pisapia, Lucie Silvas, Lydia Luce, Emily West, Andrew Combs, Steelism, SistaStrings, Erin Rae, Thad Kopec, Jess Nolan, Scott Mulvahill, Madi Diaz, Ruston Kelly, and Katie Pruitt.
