Wesley Eric Weston Jr. (March 3, 1981) is a famous American rapper known as Lil’ Flip. Weston was born in Cloverland, Houston, Texas. He began his career as a freestyle rapper and eventually earned a record deal with Suckafree Records in 1999. Lil’ Flip received recognition for his initial hit singles, including “Sunshine,” “Game Over,” and “The Way We Ball.” He released his debut album on July 18, 2000, entitled “The Leprechaun.” The release of his debut album caught the attention of DJ Screw, who added Lil’ Flip to his rap group, Screwed Up Click.
Columbia Records offered Lil’ Flip a contract in 2002. On August 27, 2002, he released his second and first major-label album entitled “Undaground Legen.” The album did well and was certified Platinum in December 2002. Lil’ Flip made a featured appearance on the charting single by Yung Wun entitled “Like A Pimp.”
The third album and the first double-disc by Lil’ Flip came out in 2004 named “U Gotta Feel Me.” He worked with different record labels throughout his career, including Clover G, SoSouth, Fontana, Loud, Columbia, Sony Urban, Asylum, Warner Bros, and Empire. His notable studio albums include The Leprechaun 2 (2020), No Feelings (2020), Feelings (2020), The Music Machine (2019), The Art of Freestyle 2 (2019), Life (2018), King (2018), The Art of Freestyle (2016), El Jefe (2015), The Black Dr. Kevorkian (2013), and Ahead of My Time (2010).
