KenTheMan (1994) is an American rapper, intended to be a pseudonym. She was trying to join SoundCloud as an artist under the name "Ken" but found that others were using that name. She substituted that moniker for her stage persona. KenTheMan continued his education past high school by enrolling in university. She first quit but then returned to school for music with the hope that pushing through difficulties would help her grow as an artist.
She decided the strategy wasn't working, so she dropped out again, but she and her dad had made a pact that if rapping didn't pan out, she'd return to school. KenTheMan got her start as a waitress and eventually became a delivery woman for the app-based food delivery business DoorDash. "He Be Like" was written on her desk. This song marked KenTheMan's breakthrough as a recording artist. What's My Name, her debut album, was released in 2021. Rolling Stone classified it as the sixteenth-best hip-hop album of the year. Not My Nigga," a single by KenTheMan, was released on October 14, 2022.
