Judas Priest Information
Judas Priest is an English heavy metal band with the current lineup of Ian Hill, Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Scott Travis, and Richie Faulkner. The band made a two-song demo called "Good Time Woman" and "We'll Stay Together" and received a three album recording contract with Immediate in late 1969 following a performance in Walsall. However, the label went bankrupt before the album could be recorded, and the band ultimately broke up in 1970.
On August 15, 2021, they headlined the Bloodstock Open Air festival and were again joined onstage by Tipton for the encore songs. Due to Faulkner's serious medical cardiac condition, the rest of the US leg of the tour had to be rescheduled from its original start date of September 8. The original plan was to have Queensrÿche as their support band in the spring of 2022, but the European leg, which was supposed to feature Ozzy Osbourne, was rescheduled for 2023.
Invincible Shield, the band's upcoming album set for release on March 8, 2024, was unveiled before their performance at the Power Trip festival on October 7, 2023. On October 13, the song "Panic Attack" was released for streaming. While Judas Priest's sound has always been heavy metal, their albums often showcase many styles within the genre. Their debut, 1974's Rocka Rolla, is heavily influenced by hard blues rock.
