Jonathan Gill Jr. (May 22, 1966) is an American singer and musician born in Washington, D.C. He has been a member of several groups, including New Edition (R&B/pop) and LSG (supergroup), alongside Gerald Levert and Keith Sweat, and he is the last group member.
Gill has issued eight studio albums: three by New Edition, two by LSG, and a joint effort with Stacy Lattisaw. In his solo career, Gill has amassed over fifteen million record sales. Still Winning, Gill's 2011 solo effort, was recorded fifteen years after his last solo effort and featured the singles "In the Mood" and "Just the Way You Are."
After Gill departed from Fontana Records in 2014, he established J Skillz Records, the company under which he released the 2014 album Game Changer. Hits like "Behind Closed Doors" and "Still Alive" were among the album's adult R&B singles. Gill became a member of Fantasia in February 2017 and began opening for Charlie Wilson on his In It to Win It tour.
Game Changer II was released by Gill on September 6, 2019. At the start of 2023, Gill's song "Rub You the Right Way" saw a mini-resurgence in popularity because of the influencers who used it on the video-sharing platform TikTok.
