Ichon Information
Ichon (September 11, 1990) is a French designer, rapper, and musician. Famous French hip-hop musicians like Hamza and Myth Syzer are among those he's worked with, as are Valentino, Maison Margiela, J. M. Weston, Pigalle, and Antidote Studios. After the success of his debut album, "Pour de vrai," which was published on September 10, 2020, he was featured on the cover of GQ France.
Both of Ichon's parents left Cameroon for France. His parents opened a restaurant in the Paris suburb of Montreuil, where his family eventually made their home. As a member of Bon Gamin, a French rap group he co-founded with fellow rapper Loveni and composer/producer Myth Syzer, Ichon made his debut on the French music scene. After putting out two unnoticed EPs in 2015 and 2016, he finally broke through with the widely acclaimed "Il suffit de le faire" mixtape on November 24, 2017.
After a three-year break during which he reinvented his musical approach and learned to play the piano, he finally published his debut studio album, "Pour de vrai," in 2020. Towards the end of the year 2020, he made an appearance on Arte TV during the Arte Concert Festival. He reissued "Pour de vrai" on September 10, 2021, under the title "Encore + pour de vrai," which featured nine new songs. In addition to the album, music videos for "Mélange" and "C'est pas le moment" were also made available.
