Isis Naija Gaston (January 1, 2000), also known as Ice Spice, is an American rapper. She began her musical career in 2021 while enrolled in college after meeting producer RiotUSA. Ice Spice received a lot of attention after her TikTok video for "Munch (Feelin' U)" became viral in late 2022. She promoted her first EP, Like..? (2023), with "Bikini Bottom" and "In Ha Mood" after signing with 10K Projects with Capitol Records in a joint venture.
Ice Spice's laid-back rhyming style has caught the attention of music writers. "Breakout star" was how Time characterized her in 2023. According to Billboard, she is known as "rap's new princess. " Nominated for four Grammys, including Best New Artist, she has won other accolades, including Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards, "New Artist of the Year" at the People's Choice Awards, the Impact Award at the BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards, and more.
