Henry Lawrence Garfield is an American presenter, actor, spoken word artist, musician, and writer. He is professionally known by his stage name, Henry Rollins. He writes a regular piece for Rolling Stone Australia, broadcasts a weekly radio show on KCRW, and previously wrote for LA Weekly.
Rollins led the Californian hardcore band Black Flag from 1981 to 1986 after playing in the short-lived hardcore punk band State of Alert in 1980. After the band disbanded, he founded the record label and publishing business 2.13.61 to distribute his spoken word recordings and the Rollins Band, which went on tour from 1987 through 2003 and in 2006.
The Henry Rollins Show, 120 Minutes, and Jackass are just a few of the television programs that Rollins has hosted, in addition to countless radio programs like Harmony in My Head on Indie 103. He played A.J. Weston in the second season of Sons of Anarchy and Zaheer in the final two seasons of the animated series The Legend of Korra. Rollins has also appeared in many movies. He has advocated in the US for several political causes, such as LGBT rights, world hunger relief, and an end to all wars.
