Griselda Information
Griselda Records is an independent American hip-hop record label based in Buffalo, New York. Westside Gunn, his sibling Conway the Machine, and Mach-Hommy started the group in 2012. The Griselda Records roster features the label's original members, Benny the Butcher, and Daringer, the label's in-house producer.
Griselda is also shorthand for the label's core signees, who form a loosely connected hip-hop collective. Westside Gunn, the label's creator, is often regarded as the group's de facto head. Griselda has released two albums as a group so far: 2016's Don't Get Scared Now EP and 2019's WWCD. The label was named after the infamous drug baron Griselda Blanco.
London label Daupe! distributed copies of the label's music in limited releases. They frequently sold out within minutes in the early years of the company's existence. Griselda began working with Shady Records as a distributor in 2017 for the music of Westside Gunn and Conway. In 2019, Roc Nation inked management deals with rappers Westside Gunn and Benny the Butcher.
