Goodie Mob Information
Goodie Mob is a hip hop group that was founded in 1991 and based in Atlanta, Georgia. Big Gipp, Khujo, T-Mo, and Cee-Lo are the current and founding members of the band. Goodie Mob released their debut album entitled Soul Food in 1995. The album was lucky enough to earn Gold Certification as it aired political and social issues such as discrimination, geopolitics, racism, and gentrification. "Cell Therapy" was the debut single by the band that reached number 39 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Goodie Mob is part of a hip hop/R&B musical collective, the Dungeon Family. The second album by the band was released in 1998 entitled Still Standing, followed by the third album, World Party, in 1999. Some other notable studio albums by the band are One Monkey Don't Stop No Show (2004), Age Against the Machine (2013), and Survival Kit (2020). Goodie Mob also earned credit for their filmography soundtracks. Some of the hit ones are 2016 Moonlight (performer: "Cell Therapy"), 1999 Any Given Sunday (performer: "Sole Sunday"), 1998 The Players Club (performer: "Dirty South"), and 1996 Fled (performer: "Remember What I Said").
The group members of Goodie Mob performed at the Gnarls Barkley concert in 2006. The performance was considered a reunion of the band after Big Gipp and Cee-Lo left the group for a time. The band has worked with a few record labels so far, including Elektra Records, LaFace/Arista/BMG Records, and Primary Wave.
