George Canyon Information
George Canyon (August 22, 1970) is a Canadian music singer. He was born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. George Canyon participated in Nashville Star 2 in 2004. Despite finishing in second place, he gained much support in Canada because he was the only Canadian to reach the competition's cut. He won numerous honors from the public and the business after the tournament.
On September 22, 2007, Canyon performed at China-Canada: Hand in Hand, a concert held in Vancouver by CCTV (China Central Television) and CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) to kick off the one-year countdown to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. On January 9, 2008, Canyon was appointed honorary colonel at 14 Wing Greenwood, the biggest air base on the east coast, by Canadian Defense Minister Peter MacKay.
Canyon has acted in films and television shows in addition to his singing career. His first notable performance came in numerous episodes of the seventh season of the popular Showcase television series Trailer Park Boys in 2007 as the "Head Forest Ranger." In 2008, he also appeared as "Charlie Wells" in Heartland's television program. His most well-known on-screen performance to date was as "Cattle Jack" in the Dawn Rider (2012) movie, a remake of the 1935 John Wayne movie of the same name.
