Fallujah Information
Fallujah is a technical death metal band with a current lineup of Evan Brewer, Kyle Schaefer, and Scott Carstairs. Fallujah was established in 2007 by Alex Hofmann, Scott Carstairs, Tommy Logan, Dan Wissinger, and Suliman Arghandiwal, all of whom had known each other since high school. The city of Fallujah in Iraq's Al Anbar area inspired the band's moniker. Early members Suliman Arghandiwal (vocals), Anthony Borges (guitar), Dan Wissinger (bass), and Brandon Hoberg (bass) left the band before they signed with their first record label.
Alex Hofmann, the band's guitarist, now sings in place of Arghandiwal, who Rob Maramonte has replaced. The band's debut demo came out in 2009, and on January 17 of the same year, they dropped their debut EP, Leper Colony. The band's first official concert occurred in Sacramento, California, on February 5, 2010.
The band's self-titled debut album was recorded with producer Sam Pura and released by California's Unique Leader Records on November 17, 2011. The Flesh Prevails, Fallujah's second album, was released on Unique Leader Records on July 22, 2014. While on the 2014 Summer Slaughter tour with bands like Morbid Angel, the Faceless, Dying Fetus, and Thy Art is Murder, the album was released.
