Erin Schreiber Information
Erin Schreiber was only 20 years old when she started working as an Assistant Concertmaster for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in September of 2008. She has performed in recitals all over the United States, London, Sweden, Italy, and Germany. Additionally, she has toured with jazz legend Chris Botti all over the United States and to Shanghai, Mexico City, Canada, and Eastern Europe. She has performed for former President Jimmy Carter and Colin Powell.
Schreiber gave her SLSO solo debut with a performance of Berio's Corale (on Sequenza VIII) in 2011, and she played Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascending for the Opening Weekend concerts of the 2014/2015 season. Both of these programs were conducted by the former Music Director David Robertson.
Between 2005 and 2008, Schreiber was a student at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. His teachers there included Joseph Silverstein, Pamela Frank, and Jaime Laredo. The Vamos siblings Roland and Almita, as well as Elisa Barston and Robert Lipsett, have all served as instructors in the past.
