Dru Hill Information
Dru Hill is an American R&B group whose current lineup comprises Sisqó, Nokio, Jazz, Scola, Tao, Smoke E. Digglera, and Digital Black. Following a successful run of albums (Dru Hill and Enter the Dru) issued on A. Haqq Islam's University Records brand, the trio signed with Island Records. From late 1999 to 2002, when they separated, Sisqó and Woody each released solo albums.
Two years after signing with Island Black Music—an urban, "Black market-targeted" branch of Island Records—in 1994, the trio released their self-titled debut album on November 19, 1996. It sold over a million copies by the summer of 1997 and peaked at number twenty-three on the Billboard 200. Hits like "Tell Me," "In My Bed," and "Never Make a Promise" were among its many accomplishments.
Dru Hill was the subject of Keith Sweat's Platinum House, a television show. Centric aired its premiere on June 28, 2010. They showcased their progress in reuniting as a full group and their work creating new music, emphasizing their fourth album, InDRUpendence Day. The show's scheduled July 14, 2009, debut on the main BET Network was delayed, although it eventually aired on Centric.
