Dragonforce Information
DragonForce is a power metal band founded in 1999 by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman originating from London. The group plays speed metal and power metal. The current lineup of the group is Marc Hudson – lead vocals; Herman Li – guitar, backing vocals; Sam Totman – guitar, backing vocals; and Gee Anzalone – drums, percussion, backing vocals. Some of the touring members are Damien Rainaud – bass, backing vocals; Alicia Vigil – bass, backing vocals; Christian Wirtl – drums and Aquiles Priester – drums.
DragonForce has released two live albums, eight studio albums, one compilation album, one demo, and one live DVD. The studio albums by the band are Valley of the Damned, Sonic Firestorm, Inhuman Rampage, Ultra Beatdown, The Power Within, Maximum Overload, Reaching into Infinit, and Extreme Power Metal. The third album by the group was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). "Through the Fire and Flames" was the lead single from this album that is featured in several video games, one being Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
DragonForce toured with Disturbed and Slipknot in 2008, during the inaugural Mayhem Festival. Some of the notable singles by the band are "Heroes of Our Time" (nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance 2008), "Soldiers of the Wasteland," "Revolution Deathsquad," "The Last Journey Home," "Ashes of the Dawn," and "Highway to Oblivion."
